COMPREHENSIVE HAIL PROTECTION
A 2019 research paper “The vulnerability of solar panels to hail.” found that damage to solar panels occurs primarily with hailstones with a size exceeding at least 3 cm.
Severe thunderstorms produce hail stones ranging from 2.54 cm - to 4.445 cm in diameter with an expected speed of 25-40 mph (11.17-17.88 m/s).
The strongest supercells produce hail 5.08 cm to 10 cm in diameter with a fall speed between 44-72 mph (19.66-32.18 m/s).
NEUSHIELD coating has been shown to withstand impact speeds of up to 93 mph (41.56 m/s) with no damage to the coating layer or the panel beneath.

ANTI-FUNGAL
PROPERTIES
In areas of high humidity, fungus has been known to grow on PV modules. Lichens are a complex symbiotic partnership of two separate organisms, a fungus and an alga.
Like soiling, lichens and fungus can signifiantly reduce the power output of PV panels. These can be very difficult to remove without long, laborious hours of scrubbing, due to anchoring. NEUSHIELD prevents these headaches from forming before they present a problem.
